Casa Lumra began not in a factory, but in a conversation between two designers who were tired of beautiful rooms that felt wrong after dark. They spent four years in a small Nordic workshop studying light — its temperature, its angle, its relationship with material and mood.
What emerged was a philosophy as much as a product: that light is not decoration. It is the invisible architecture of every room. Every Casa Lumra lamp is the result of that conviction, carried into every detail.

Casa Lumra was founded by product designers who spent a decade working for some of the world’s most demanding architecture firms. Frustrated by lighting that looked beautiful in catalogues but felt wrong in real rooms, they set out to build something different.
Today a team of twelve works from studios in Scandinavia and East Asia, moving deliberately and releasing one lamp at a time. Every product carries the full weight of their attention.
